Make sure to do a clean install (or reinstall) of these drivers to reduce the potential of conflicting configurations.Ģ) Update your Windows Operating System using Windows Update. Will share any new information to help w/problem.Įdit 7: Square Enix got back to me- they're investigating the issue and recommended I try this list of fixes:ġ) Update your graphics card drivers to the latest version from the graphics card manufacturer's website. Hopefully they might have some answers to help us with a fix on the problem.Įdit 5: kind of hitting a brick wall with the fix, the issue might be something hardcoded into the game itself? Here's hoping Enix gets back to me on the issue.Įdit 6: Enix replied to Email, sent out more information- currently corresponding with the ENIX tech crew to try and figure out a fix for this issue. Still running into roadblocks on fixing this issue.Įdit 4: Submitted an Inquiry to the official Square Enix support center Documenting the issue. Stuttering isn't related to the FPS, nor is it related to the refresh rate somehow. Also, It's not linked to the music tracks- The choppiness still occurs even if there's no BGM playing.Įdit 3: tested G-sync and V-Sync extensively today.
I've also gone to the trouble of examining the FPS before and after the stuttering occurs, only to have found that there is no discernable FPS drop when the stuttering begins.Įdit 2: A complete reinstallation and verification has done nothing to curb the problem. Tested CPU and Video card, which is a SLI dual Nvidia 760, both perform perfectly fine, yet the menu stuttering still occurs. The Stuttering isn't a part of the Vsync. Compatibility mode launches KH3 but doesn't fix the stuttering. I've waited quite some time since the release of kingdom hearts II now to finish this series, it would be a shame to lose it now when it's so close to my grasp.Įdit: I've tried Administrator mode- it causes epic games to not be able to launch the program. If anyone has any ideas or more information on the situation, such as a fix or an upcoming patch, please let me know. Compatability mode fails to see any answers as well, being a hail mary to the whole situation. I have also tried using administrator mode, but epic games fails to launch when the main executable is designated as such. Turning on and off FXAA within the game settings has produced no viable results. I can only surmise that something such as FXAA or the like that's handled globally by Nvidia could be tbe culprit, but as of yet I am unsure. Most fix signs point to re-installation of video card drivers- unfortunately, i'd just updated my Nvidia drivers today. The second are the crashes, which come up as Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. The first being that i get horrendous stuttering when in menu screens, but the rest of the gameplay is perfectly fine. Unfortunately, there are 2 issues that are reoccuring. I'd been waiting for this for a rather long time, you see. So excitedly, i bought kingdom hearts 3 yesterday for PC.
